And how can I miss out on the quintessential Thai aroma! The distinctive smell reminds you of refreshing lemongrass or may be of some exotic perfume.
Thailand is a country of startling contrast with a perfect blend of capitalism and spiritualism, where high-rises and monasteries sit side-by-side. Every Thai is worth his salt will wax eloquent about the beaches, extraordinary foods and the overwhelming Thai culture. And to me, Thailand is a smack-dab in the midst of everything. Be its post-card perfect tropical islands or the world-class infrastructural marvels, they happen to amaze me always.
Being at the Land of Smiles is like living in a place where you feel most at home. The crowd here has a life of its own. While I walk down Sukhumvit Soi 2, Khlong Toei, Bangkok, I see vibrant clothes shining, people moving like shoals of fish, old friends catching up while new friends made. Sure, it’s busy, but the hustle bustle of the city is something that none would want to be without.
The smiles you see here, they seem so genuinely sweet having the right touch of warmth and shyness. Those are that kind of smiles that will make you feel happy to be alive. Just that they are a bit more human! Honestly speaking, these people have become my kin, my kind.
