Thailand is brimming with ample job opportunities. Therefore, the Labour Ministry is conducting an expo to help job seekers, particularly the recent university graduated with the companies. In fact, a new co-payment system has been introduced by the government for the recent graduates to cater to 50% of the salary for 12 months. To this, one of the officials said that this system is likely to bring in almost 190 billion baht. Similarly, the government plans to subsidize 15,000 baht per month for around 1 million new graduates.
The Job Expo Thailand will take place from 26th to 28th September 2020 at the International Trade and Exhibition Centre in Bangkok. The government agencies are likely to post around 400,000 job positions and around 100,000 jobs are to be posted by the companies overseas.
It is estimated that around 200,000 job positions for university graduates. Also, another 200,000 jobs are likely to be posted from the companies from the other sectors.
As the economy revives post-COVID-19 lockdown, companies have reopened and have begun hiring the workforce again. Thus this state job expo will boost confidence in the economy while accelerating the hiring process. To this, the labor minister said that this may not be practical to seek jobs in the normal way, especially in today’s day and time. So, the government has decided to bring in all the companies who seek to place job postings.
In addition, there will be options for the native-English speakers for teaching jobs as Thailand’s Education Minister announced plans for recruitment of around 10,000 native English-speaking teachers. However, the plan isn’t in place yet, but many schools are having vacancies for foreign English teachers as most of them returned to their respective countries during the pandemic.
So, if you have been looking for a job opportunity in Thailand, this may be the right time.
