Thailand most digitally disrupted market Asia Pacific And Japan

Thailand’s respondents state that their organizations are equipped to be competitive. On this CA Technologies has revealed that Thailand is the most digitally disrupted country. Almost 95% of the business and IT leaders stated that the market is greatly impacted because of this. In fact, the country ranked the highest in APJ for these two aspects, scoring above the APJ average of 78%.

However, despite such a positive outlook, the businesses are yet to capitalize on the potential of digital transformation. In order to succeed in today’s digital economy, IT leaders and businesses will have to be bold to harness disruptive technologies, including automation, micro-services, data analytics, and artificial intelligence, while making sure that everyone in the company is working towards a common goal.

 A world today that is defined by digital engagement, competitive differentiation for organizations as well as governments, is decided by the ability to change themselves digitally and developing software into the business strategies. The survey found;

  • Meeting changing customers’ expectations;
  • Using digital transformation as the new thing, and;
  • Fast-evolving economic conditions;

This reveals the business priorities that organizations in the country are focused on solving, including reducing operational costs, improving workforce collaboration, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Speaking of the survey conducted by CA Technologies, it commissioned a survey of 900 businesses and IT leaders across the nine markets in the APJ region, including India, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and South Korea. The objectives were to measure digital disruption in the region while understanding how the organizations there are coping with the digital transformation.

Owing to that, the respondents majorly came from mid-to-large-sized organizations with 250 employees or more. And all of them were the decision makers, involved in digital transformation initiatives in the organizations with 74% being the major decision makers.
