Those who have been thinking to invest in the Thai marine industry, there’s good news for them. Thailand has taken the initiative to unite the marine industry in Thailand by organizing shows. One of which got wrapped up recently. Held at the Royal Phuket Marina, the exhibition had some leading international yacht dealers, charter agencies, marine suppliers, and brokerage houses, alongside luxury property developers.
In fact, representatives from both national and local government joined this show of unity. While the government was staunch to support the yachting industry and bring the cash into the local business, the private too made it clear that they want a single show in Phuket. And here it is, the result is speaking for themselves with so many yacht sales and businesses transactions done by the exhibitors across the sectors as well a good number of visitors.
Richard Allen, the General Manager of Simpson Marine, said that the show displayed some of the greatest new yachts, representing brands like Lagoon, Sanlorenzo, Monte Carlo Yachts, and Beneteau. Coming to the quality of the visitors, they were top rate and the vessels could receive huge exposure. Andrew de Bruin said that many exhibitors were pleased to join the show with their yachts displayed in the marina.
The show has been a prime focus for government to change local regulations so as to attract a number of international superyachts to Thailand. You will be glad to know that the country you are thinking to invest is being placed 4th as the winter destination behind St. Barts, Antigua, and St. Maarten, witnessing an influx of superyachts during New Year peak season.
As this single show concept has proved to be a great success, it is expected that this will continue further while bringing both the Thai government and private marine sector together.
