Web Application
Does your make an application accessible through browser or HTTP to the users as a web server, application server, database tier or web browser, then your business should be eligible for BOI promotion?
Games
This includes mobile platform, PDA, multi-player online game, Windows-based game, and console. Moreover, these are the Entertainment software, operating on different devices, which consist of programming and graphics.
Animation
Businesses can create motion pictures or convey stories through cartoon and 2D or 3D graphics. Additionally, this include development and creation of characters can register their business under the Board of Investment, Thailand.
Interactive Application
This involves a multimedia presentation of an object in different forms. Herein, the users can interact with application or system by giving responsive data advertisements in multimedia. For instance, the application includes interactive TV, virtual reality applications, and digital movies.
Computer-generated Imagery
The CGI includes the production of graphics and animation display via feature film, video of different types and television.
Therefore, if your business entails any of these activities you may be eligible to apply for Board of Investment Thailand. For that you will need to have these documents;
- Application form to obtain a promotion certificate
- Business registration certificate
- The memorandum of association
- Licensing agreement, technology transfer contact, technical assistance contract, and a joint venture contract
- A form of utility as well as manpower requirements
- Document stating transfer of funds from the overseas
- Certificate of investment issued by the Bank of Thailand
However, failing to submit all the documents within the stipulated time period will require submitting an explanatory letter to the BOI.
