- Manufacturing of natural or synthetic fibers, including technical fiber or functional fiber, recycle fiber, and other fibers;
- Manufacturing of yarn or fabric, including functional yarn or functional fabric and other yarn or fabric;
- Bleaching, dyeing or printing, and finishing;
- Manufacturing of garments, household textiles, clothing and accessories;
However, your textile business will only be approved it meets the following conditions;
- Projects are must be approved by agencies like Thailand Textile Institute, and National Innovation Agency;
- Domestic scraps or waste should only be used for manufacturing of recycled fiber;
- Projects with an investment in research, product development, and design that is not less than 0.5% of the total project revenue of the initial 3 years;
- Projects with no investment in research, product development, and design or if the investment on the R&D is less than 0.5% of the total project revenue of the initial 3 years;
- For bleaching, finishing or printing, and dying;
- Projects must be situated or expanded in industrial estates or must be promoted in industrial zones with waste treatment and environmental protection,
- Digital printing businesses can be located in almost all the areas,
- Eco-friendly technology must be used in all cases,
- Projects making application for investment promotion are allowed to be situated in the already existing business area,
Once you have decided the nature of your intended textile business, you should start gathering all the necessary documents, which are as follows;
- Application form to obtain a promotion certificate
- Business registration certificate
- The memorandum of association
- Licensing agreement, technology transfer contact, technical assistance contract, and a joint venture contract
- The form of utility as well as manpower requirements
- Document stating transfer of funds from the overseas
- Certificate of investment issued by the Bank of Thailand
