Thai permanent residency for US citizens

If you are a US citizen and seeking Thai permanent residence, the process may be a little easier on your part in comparison to other expats. The PR permit will allow you to stay in Thailand permanently without the requirement for a visa. Besides, it is just another way of obtaining citizenship plus a Thai passport.

This opportunity is limited to only 100 people of each nationality every year. Acceptance of such applications happens in December every year. The government body initially evaluates the application for about five months and then calls successful applicants for the interview. Usually, the entire process can take up to a year.
