Thai Retirement Visa Process
1. Non-Immigrant OA Visa Application within Your Country
Documents such as an updated passbook and letter from your bank proving the money deposited from the overseas source must be presented to the consulate of Thailand in your country. The bank statement must prove deposit of;
- THB 800,000 made in the Thai Bank Account 2 months prior to the application of Thai retirement visa
- Minimum THB 65,000 monthly pension
- 800,000 THB of total income, combining your Thai bank account and income per annum
Other Documents including, a medical certificate and police clearance
2. Non-Immigrant O Visa and Extension Application
- You will require applying for a 90-day visa initially, from the Thai consulate prior to the retirement visa application.
- Proof of address in Thailand is needed.
- You must stay in Thailand at least for 60-day before making the application. But then the visa extension application will only be accepted if you haven’t crossed the final 30-day of your current permit.
